I literally traveled from Queens to get a blowout with Uma Kalmurzaeva. Their service and hospitality was truly amazing. All the employees were so caring and kind. Uma did such an amazing blow out on me especially with long layers cut on top of that. I highly recommend going to this Salon and book an appointment with Uma.

I booked a haircut and blow dry here with Uma and she did a great job. I showed her my inspo photo and she was able to give me the cut I was looking for. It is a bit pricey but thats expected in NYC.

Feb 19th 2025, I had the best wash and blow dry in a very long time. I arrived a few mins early and was kindly asked to relax and have a seat, and I realized that I forgot my wallet and a very nice man, possibly an owner said you have Apple Pay, don’t worry!
The person, that washed and blow dried my hair did an absolutely amazing job! The hair wash was gentle and relaxing. At times stylist tend to pull on my hair because it’s long. She did a fast and fabulous blow dry, the best ever!! I am so sorry I don’t have the name of my stylist…I don’t live close bye, but, when I’m in the area, this is my salon!! Thank you!

Used to come here regularly as a client until my stylist retired. Recently came here for a cleanup on my neck. Overpaid based on their menu of $20, paid $30 with tip for a 5 minute neck cleanup. Way overpriced for a quick cleanup. Not the way to retain clients!

Absolutely wonderful experience at NoHo Hair Salon! Alina was quick, precise, and gave a gorgeous blowout. Went in for a simple cut and asked her to give my long straight hair some shape. In less than an hour she had worked her magic and left me feeling like a beauty queen! Looking forward to returning for my next trim!

I made an appointment with Alina Kuznevych for Barber Cut, and she did above my expectation. Even though my request is somewhat vague, she did perfect job. She is so skillful, kind and good in detail. I'll definitely visit her again.

Uma did an amazing job cutting my mid-length straight hair and curtain bangs as we discussed, and Rafael is super friendly and knowledgable! Price was very reasonable for the area and the level of care. I'll be back for a blowout!

LOVED IT!! My hair looks absolutely incredible. I got extensions done and they are the best i've ever had done. The experience and the hair- everything is just wonderful! I feel so confident and amazing with my new hair, I can't recommend them enough!!! Rafael did so wonderful and was so kind. He took me to the Hair Shop and we bought the extensions and he went straight to work. He worked on my hair for like 7 hours, he added almost 209 strands of hair using keratin tip extensions. The 7 hours went by fast too, it's a comfortable salon and very clean.

I have naturally curly hair and am always really anxious when getting haircuts because my hair usually ends up much shorter than I want it to be. Anna was truly so sweet and understanding. She reassured me and made sure I was happy throughout the haircut. My hair feels so healthy now and the length/style is exactly what I wanted.
The prices are fair, the staff in general is really friendly and accommodating. 😄😄 please note my hair is really frizzy just naturally and the frizz in the photo has nothing to do with how Anna dried or styled it. It’s just my hair lol I requested for a diffuser blow dry because I prefer my hair curly, frizz and all🥰

Rafael at Noho Hair Salon is fantastic! Been going to him for years and I've only had the best experience which is hard to find for a guy with medium length hair. Noho Hair Salon provides great quality at an affordable price with a nice atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!

Update: changing review despite previous unfortunate cut b/c I also found Penny here, she was a great haircutter. I was told she left. Terrible loss, best women's cut for a reasonable price in NYC.
Summer 2022, got a regular trim from Loredana for $55, not including tax/tip. Used to be $38 pre-covid, but times are tough and that's probably much cheaper than much of Greenwich Village. I just want to maintain my long layers neatly, can't attest to anything else this place does. If you are in the NYU area and need a quick women's hair cut, you could do much worse than here.
I think it might cheaper for short and/or male hair.

I now wish I could give this place negative stars.
Jasmine did permanent structural damage to my curly, weak hair, stretching it, ripping it, shearing it close to the crown, snapping it like twine. She split the whole top layer from shoulder to crown.
No one should cut straight hair, curly hair, or ANY HAIR the way she did. She sheared from all the way up the side of my head trying to make short "layers" by pulling it tight while wet.
Curly haired people and anyone else that likes having their ends neat/out of their faces beware. If you only want the (lower?) ends touched, don't let them give you "long layers" without having them demonstrate where they'll cut, tell them you don't want shears, and show them how you'll be wearing your hair most of the time so that they don't cut out every below the ear when you go in for a half in trim and some angling/beveling.

I just get out of this salon after 1 hour and 40 min. I asked for a blow dry and this is the worst I've ever had anywhere in the world. How is it possible that it takes soooo long to do this and I ended up with the curls on top and straight the lower part!!!! This is horrific, I Do NOT RECOMMEND this place at all!!! $50 for this?
I booked an appointment there's because I needed my hair to be done for a lat minute dinner. I checked the reviews here and I don't know who put this reviews but they are definitely not accurate. At least for the Colombian guy that did these.

LOVE LOVE LOVE- i am new to the neighborhood and so finding a good salon was important. Luckily I have NOHO hair salon in walking distance. I came in with SO MANY different colors on my hair. Underneath blonde mid top dark and top light honey plus new growth. All box coloring. Rafael took me on. And we had a great conversation of the reality of what could be done with my hair that would not damage it. Semi Permanent color was the decision and it was the best. Finally got my hair one color. Penny took over to wash me and blow dry. She was delightful. She is gentle and talented. I got complimented immediately after leaving the salon. I was so happy with all the services I received at NOHO. I highly recommend stopping in.

I had some time to spare before my date tonight and they were able to squeeze me in with just 5 minutes notice. Everyone was very friendly creating a welcoming environment. Alina listened to what I wanted and understood my concerns. She was quick and efficient! My hair has never looked healthier! She is amazing and I will keep going back to NoHo Hair Salon
