My 10 year old daughter with curly hair saw Mino today for a hair cut. She loves the cut and looks incredible. He was gentle and patient with her and we definitely plan on continuing to see him in the future.
Maria gave me a curly cut which I absolutely love. After a bad experience at another salon, this is exactly what I needed. Maria listens to you and takes her time to deliver the look you want while offering her expertise and great style. I’m grateful I was able to reconnect with her after so many years and can’t see myself going to anyone else.

I cannot recommend Self Salon enough! Bianca took the time to listen to the change I wanted in my hair but also guided me through the services that I needed to get me to my dream hair!! I had balayage with some low lights to break up the previous grown out balayage whilst also offering a low maintenance color. The salon itself has the most beautiful lighting and all of the stylist were beyond lovely! I’d highly recommend to anyone in the area 💇🏼♀️ 10/10 experience!

Bianca took such good care of me! Got a layered cut and blowout and it turned out exactly how I wanted. Elia gave me an amazing scalp massage, I legit was going to fall asleep it was so calming. They both made my day thank you! ❤️ I’ve been lookin for a consistent stylist in New York for 3 years- safe to say I found that in Bianca!

Elia is great. She does my hair color. She’s really good at listening to what I’m looking for. I tell her vague things like: the highlights should cover my grays, but also blend with prior color, but also look completely natural, and she knows what to do or is humble enough to ask one of her colleagues for advise on how to get the best results. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to Self salon at both the Bushwick and Williamsburg location. Great experiences every time. I have went to Bianca the last two times and she has done a fantastic job of not only giving me the desired cut I want but making it an enjoyable and relaxing experience. Had a jagged and horrible bleach job at another salon. Came in pretty desperate to get this fixed asap and Self Salon was confident in being able to fix it for me, recommending Bianca. 4 hours later, Bianca saved my hair and color corrected, magically blended everything seamlessly! Bianca is an *artist*! I’ve never had hair so beautifully done before, tbh i teared up a little bit when I saw my new hair ❤️ the color is beautiful, there’s no harsh lines, the cut is just perfect ✨ also I had such a great time during the visit.
Hiiiighly recommend. I don’t think I will let anyone else touch my hair again.
