Jesus the bartender is amazing!!! Make sure you ask for him! He will take care of you! Good conversation attentive and accommodating! Great experience here! Will definitely be coming back 5.00 margaritas brought me in but the food and Jesus and the staff kept me there! Love this place 5 stars

¡Que lastima! Dang we wanted to like this spot, and Jonathan the guy behind the bar was very friendly. But other than that it was all downhill here. How does a mexican restaurant run out of chips? There were only a few people here at about 2p and the kitchen was soo slow we had to beg for chips and salsa. The chicken fajitas were coated in cheese (we didn't order a burrito), and although the chicken was pretty tender the dish arrived without sour creame, which we also had to beg for and for no good reason it took almost 10 minutes to get it, and by then the "sizzling" fajitas were not. We tried one of their empanadas, the bacon, egg and cheese and it was so over deep-fried it was pretty bad. And the margaritas come in a glass slightly larger than a dixie cup. Pass!

Went there with some friends, and coworkers. One of my fellow friends had a birthday 🎂 surprise for their husband. The drinks were good. Even though it's like having a shot glass of liquor. The atmosphere at this place is warm and colorful, but also fun. But I had a wonderful time just being there hanging out with my peeps. ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽😊

I was intrigued to try this placesince I saw and add for restaurant week. They offered a $30 3 course prefix menu with a small margarita. You had about 2-4 options for each course. We decide on the watermelon salad and Elote for appetizers. Skirt steak with frites and chicken fajitas for the entree. Churros and flan for dessert. Overall the entrees were on the bland side. The fajitas were just covered in cheese and oily, but not horrible. The skirt steak was bland but I still enjoyed it. The highlight of the entrees were the fries. Crispy, perfectly salted and paired with the sauce they came with, delicious. The watermelon salad was refreshing. The elote was standard. And both the dessert were well presented and satisfying. Atmosphere is loud and on that particular day hot. Overall I'm glad I got to try it

El Coco has the best "all day" happy hour prices in the city. The drinks are strong and tasty, and the food is solid as well. Judith tends to be our waitress each time we go, and she's always very courteous and welcoming.
Couldn't recommend it more for a lowkey hang with a few friends.

$5 Margarita who can beat that right....? they would have gotten a clean 5 star but when we initially got there they told us immediately that we only have an hr to eat and leave because they had a large party coming in. We booked another reservation then a guy came over to tell us we cant make another reservation. He can only give us another 30 min then we would have to leave. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT!!!!

This is a must visit New York spot!! If you are looking for good music, cute decoration, friendly service, and a $5 margaritas this is the right place…they offer you nice and chip food options and a great happy hour. The day in went I had a great time the bartenders were nice and funny, the $5 drinks were delicious and strong! I’ll be back…

During Halloween weekend, visiting el coco was eventful. Fully seated, booked and busy on a Saturday night. El coco serves Mexican American cuisine that is familiar and rich in taste. I opted for the bowl brown rice and chicken and added the toppings. The bowl reminded me of a chipotle bowl, but more fresh and a generous portion size. The prices of the drinks were affordable, however drinks fell on the small size, not an average size of a standard drink. Overall my company and I had a pleasant evening at El coco. You can’t beat the price and I would say this is the most affordable priced restaurant that I have ever visited in Manhattan so far. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So glad we found this restaurant. I felt very welcomed and the place looked clean. You should definitely try the sauces they provide—- they were delicious! The food portion was small, but great for the price tag. If you’re on a diet, you won’t feel guilty!
