She said “you don’t know what you want, that’s the problem” after giving me a bad uneven hair cut and I returned to just cut it off to fix it. The last time it was actually good, hit or miss. She could’ve saved the attitude for sure.

Bonnie is the best. She does a SUPERB job with my husband’s haircut every single time. We’ve tried so many hairdressers in the city and she’s the only one that understands what my husband wants and executes it flawlessly. My husband actually gets compliments on his hair now which didn’t used to happen! It’s also so lovely chatting with her too.

Worst service
I had the worst experience at this salon. The stylist couldn't even get the color I wanted for my highlights. Instead of the thinner portions I requested, she applied thick highlights that looked completely imperfect. When I returned the next day to address the issue, she told me to come back in 10 days. So, after waiting patiently, I returned as instructed, only to be told to come back yet again, this time on a Tuesday.
Even when I finally got her to attempt fixing my hair color, she seemed unhappy about it. But the worst part came when, in the middle of drying my hair, she suddenly demanded more money than we initially agreed upon. When I refused to pay extra, she actually wiped off the highlight she had just applied using a dirty rag she had for cleaning the chair. Not only did I leave with damaged hair, but I also didn't get the color I wanted, and I lost my money in the process.
I've never had such a terrible experience with any service provider. This stylist needs a reality check and should learn to acknowledge when she provides subpar service.

I was rather dissatisfied with her highlight, with the main issue stemming from her treatment of customers. Her responses were far from satisfactory, often lacking in politeness and brimming with attitude. I think she exhibit a money-oriented attitude.

I scheduled an appointment but could not make it due to an emergency and could not call to cancel. The owner called me and left me a voicemail about how rude I was. It was very mean and abrasive. It wasn’t appropriate at all.

Bonnie did a wonderful job cutting my hair. She understood the texture of my hair, even a few washes later my hair falls beautifully around my face and my natures waves swoop more gracefully. 5 stars!

What great reviews of this hair stylist! I really like this rather peaceful salon (recently moved) but I've never paid more than $50 in my lifetime for a haircut. The first two cuts were pretty good considering I chopped my own hair for two years making it unhealthy. I was so relieved to finally find a stylist in my area too.
The last cut was more of a trim that won't last very long. I don't know if I will be a regular customer if I don't get a haircut that holds a style for up to 1 1/2months. Medium length hair with natural waves should be able to last just falling into place without a blow dry. The last one lasted but not this one for sure.
Anyway, my hair should be easy to work with on a basic layered medium haircut. Hoping to be a permanent customer. I hope this will all work out.

I got my first haircut from Bonnie about ten years ago, and had several people remark at how clean the new 'do looked. I've been going to Hair on Hyde ever since. Bonnie is friendly, skilled, and flexible with scheduling-even staying a little later if I'm running late from work. Bonnie is great at what she does, and her prices are a good value for the money. I highly recommend Hair on Hyde!

I booked an appointment with Bonnie online, and she did such an incredible job. It was by far my boldest haircut in years and I'm so happy with the cut. The salon itself was really clean, straightforward shop and conveniently located in my neighborhood. She listened to what I wanted (I shared some photos too) and she gave such a great cut. Bonnie was super nice, easy and fun to chat with. I'll be coming back to her for my next haircut!

Wow! I absolutely am so impressed with this place. I came here on a whim after very poorly cutting my own hair. Bonnie knew exactly what to do. I showed her a couple of pictures and she took over. She was precise, professional, and fun to talk to! This is probably my favorite haircut I've had in a long time. It was a pretty bold chop, but Bonnie handled it flawlessly and earned herself a new, loyal customer in the process! Can't wait to come back, I couldn't recommend enough.

I've been a regular customer here since I moved to the neighborhood in 2014. The service has been unfailingly excellent. I can easily get a same-day appointment any day of the week, and I always get exactly the haircut I want. I have difficult hair (curly, thick, eternally uncooperative) and every haircut I've had at Hair on Hyde has been perfect.
I will continue to come here as long as I live in the neighborhood, because I know that I'll get exactly the same exemplary service every time.
