#transitioningtogrey Many of us gals are seeking a skilled colorist who will support us in embracing a gentle transition back to our natural state. After years of dying, highlighting and toners-- (and tens of thousands of dollars) COVID provided the opportunity for us to find out what's really under all those chemicals. It is certainly a choice to decide whether or not to embrace your grey, and, not an easy one, everyone has an opinion on this, especially the hairdresser who stands to lose future business! I had 3 previous visits to one of Boulders Best & Trendiest Salons, each time walking in with the clear intention of beginning my transition (gracefully) to grey. Armed with my Pinterest board and dozens of images of exactly what I wanted, I presented my case- but each time I was "coerced/convinced" into believing that this wasn't what I really wanted, "I was too young to go grey."-- "Grey ages you" and so on. On all 3 occasions I left much like I arrived, except for the grey roots. Thanks to a long Google search-- "transitioning grey expert colorists" I found #christophershairstudio and #LaurieRhodes, once again I booked an appointment with the clear intent- this was happening! I may have even walked in with a preemptive chip on my shoulder, preparing to be talked out of my decision. However, that is not how Laurie Rhodes works-- she gets it. #LaurieRhodes asked if I had any photos as an example before I could even break out my laptop, she provided knowledge and support and talked me through a variety of options to begin my transition to mature hair. It was clear from the start that she was approaching this differently, the amount of foils and various colors she used was at least twice the amount of previous experiences. She took the time to step back throughout the process, checking random foils, adjusting and pivoting as needed, all in an effort to give me the result I asked for. I was not disappointed! Laurie Rhodes just gets it, she's patient, talented and committed to making her clients happy. Thank you Laurie, Victoria. Boulder

Laurie Rhodes has been doing my hair for the past 20 years, She is so skilled when it comes to cutting my hair, her color work is Fantastic, I trust her so much, her knowledge when it comes to hairstyles, cuts and color is top Notch. She's the best at what she does. I'm a client for Life :)
