Shiraz is amazing! Friendly and a true professional. I never worry that too much or too little will be removed from my brows. The shape is always perfect because she listens to what her clients want.

You will not find a better esthetician in Austin. Shiraz is the ultimate professional who listens to her clients but makes suggestions based on her training and knowledge - and I have never been disappointed (although she has always offered to touch up or meet again if you are not happy with the result). I recently had my eyebrows micro-bladed and they have never looked better: I get compliments on them daily. BONUS: Shiraz is truly one of nicest, most sincere people I have ever met. Seriously, Chez Shiraz should be the ONLY eyebrow artist in town you book with!!!!

Last year my brows got very thin and started to go grey. Shiraz has been threading my brows for years, and we talked about Microshading for several months... and I took the plunge in August. I am *over the moon* with the results!!
Shiraz guided me through the very careful and gentle process, plus gave great aftercare instructions and follow-up. My experience has been so different - in the most positive way possible - than so many that I read online. I adore my new and improved Microshaded brows!
All of Shiraz's brow work is beautiful, and her Microshading is simply *exquisite*!

Shiraz is a brow wizard. I have thick, full eyebrows and she knows how to shape them to compliment my face while keeping their fullness. She's also the sweetest and has incredible threading technique, making the process painless. Love her!

Shiraz is super personable, offers the most painless threading experience I've ever had, and is AMAZING when it comes to correcting brows.
The first time I came, I didn't want my naturally thick brows looking out of control, it was difficult during the time because most other artists were super centered on the thick brow trend. Which resulted in my brows looking huge and bulky most of the time, due to my small forehead.
I really admired Shiraz open mindedness, and her focus on enhancing beauty in a individualized manner rather than sticking to strict trend guidelines.
She retained my shape without making it too extreme. Not too thick or thin, just right for my face.
Even suggesting a brow powder to enhance the fullness and shape.
Since then I trust no one else with my brows..
Even weeks after getting my eyebrows done they still maintain a nice shape. I always get compliments on my brows, with or without makeup.
I would definitely recommend Shiraz, she is a true artist and has an impeccable eye for brow symmetry.

I am not skilled in brow beauty. Let me clarify, I am REALLY not skilled in brow beauty. Shiraz is very much skilled in brow beauty, and has a lovely doggie named Whiskey to boot. I don't really have to go in and say anything besides "I don't do anything, please work your magic" and she does. It takes maybe 5-10 minutes at most and $14 cash or credit card.
Don't forget to park in the driveway! She's such a darling.

Let me start off by saying that Shiraz is the sweetest person ever. Her office is within her home but its a beautiful home in a very nice neighborhood. I've only had my eyebrows threaded here but she has done such a great job with them as I've been going here since 2011. The price recently went up from $12 to $14 which I was a little bummed about but that won't stop me from going to see her. My eyebrows have never looked better!

Gather round' and hear me tell my tale of magic and wonder. Pull up a chair and prepare to be amazed.
Many moons ago, when I was a 17 year old budding woman, my mother decided it was time for me to start removing the mustache I had grown up with my whole life as well as begin to tame the bushy nests above my eyes known as eyebrows----that sometimes, looked as though they could be one long unibrow. I was ready for this change seeing as I had grown up with people teasing me about this hairy state of being for most of my adolescence. So, she took me to a woman named Jamela who lived in an apartment and Jamela pointed me to a chair, told me to lean my head back and proceeded to thread the first strip of hair off of my eyebrows.
That was when I punched her.
That's right friends. I punched the poor woman. Seering hot pain ripped across my face and my first and only instinct was to hurt the horrific wench who had dared to bring such pain into my life. I swear to Goddess, it took my two sisters, and my mother to coax both Jamela and I into proceeding with the threading. I would have happily walked out of there right then with an awkward strip in the middle of my brow-line taken out, and NEVER have looked back. I took about 25 breaks during the course of the eyebrow threading, and when she moved to my upper lip---I swear, I almost passed out when the pain got worse.
Now friends---12 years later, I can sit in a threaders chair, not flinch, and get the threading over with, in 10 minutes....but I have NEVER stopped claiming that threading was anything less than hugely painful. I tell people that they should NEVER wax or tweeze their eyebrows and that they should only ever thread their brows. BUT---I always warn them that it will hurt like a B!t@H.
Now lean in close...because I have a secret to tell you....
For the first time in my LIFE, I have found a woman who threaded me....and there was NO PAIN. No joke...no pain whatsoever. I emailed Shiraz to inquire how to set up an appointment, and she told me to call. So, I called, booked an 11am, Saturday morning appointment and eagerly, and nervously awaited the appointment. She gave me her address (she threads out of her home---which is beautiful, and clean and perfectly lovely)
Shiraz...I worship at the alter of your goddessness. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This woman is amazing! I walked in after not having threaded for about a month---so there was a LOT of cleaning up to do. Over the years, various threaders have JACKED up my eyebrows so bad because they over tweeze no matter how much I tell them---I want my brows THICK THICK THICK. So, Shiraz noted that, indeed, my eyebrows had been messed up but that I still had beautiful brows.
She listened to me as I explained to her what I was looking for and what my needs were. And then she got to work.
And that is when the witchcraft began. I can't explain it or how she did it or what her magic technique was...but she was SPOT ON accurate even though it felt like she was flying across my face. And it was whisper soft. Afterwards, she put some witch hazel on my skin to soothe it, charged me $17 and she was on to her next client.
I was stunned. I walked out of her home thinking---this is the first time that I can remember ENJOYING a threading appointment.
So, ladies---Let us collectively, PUT DOWN OUR TWEEZERS. I can almost guarantee you, you're over plucking, going outside your appropriate zones, and are not getting a clean brow line. START THREADING!! I promise you, you won't regret it. Your brows will never look so sharp, and perfect. And visit this magic woman! And be prepared for amazingness in the form of one of the loveliest creatures you'll ever meet!

Shiraz now offers powder brows. She did ombré powder brows and the n won't have to worry about them for years. I went from virtually non-existent brows to perfect arches thanks to Shiraz. Her studio is very comfortable, it is in a beautiful area, and her attention to detail is unsurpassed.

Chez Shiraz is, hands down, the best place to get your 'brows done in TOWN.
Though I haven't been to her in quite some time, this is actually a testament to what an amazing job she did with my eyebrows.
When I was 16, I found myself with some tweezers, and...you can guess the rest. I overplucked and gave myself these horrible pencil-thin eyebrows that don't work well AT ALL with my round face. I went to Shiraz, sad, scared, and she recommended steps to nursing my eyebrows back to health, helping me keep them clean while i waited for them to regrow. Within a couple of months, my eyebrows weren't only better - they were PERFECT.
She understands shapes and faces - she's not going to give you the same eyebrow treatment she gave another person, because no two people are identical. After going to Shiraz, my shape was restored, and I can usually get by with just plucking here and there. I will definitely attempt to go back in the near future, for a brush up AND to see her. She's one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.
So, if your brows need some loving - Shiraz is your lady!
